Forum Title: New entrance door hard closing...
I just installed a new pre-hung entrance door with side lite, bottom closes flush but top of door sticks out a good 1/2 inch. All sides of door frame are level and floor but when you get to about 2 inches of closing it the hing side is tight and it starts pulling on the seam were the door and sidelite are connected, seems like something is tweaked somewhere. Any ideas how to correct this problem?

I went back out and checked everything over again, it bothered me that all the hing screws were screwed in crooked from the factory. I took them all out one by one and re-drilled a new hole and put the screws back in flush the way they should have been. No more pulling on the sidelite seam and the door closes nice and easy, it also took care of most of the door sticking out that far on top. I screwed the frame on top a little tighter and now everything lines up good, I had a feeling those hing screws should have been flush inside the holes, guess my feeling was right. Thanks....

You think someone at the factory could have done a better job..
